In order to create
this game, we used elements from the popular American baseball and we adjusted
it in a way that completes our target which is to have a creative fun and
competitive activity in Physical Education.
The targets are
succeeded by building team spirit, awareness, and respect to all contesters,
power, speed and acceptance of different abilities of athletes and people in
general.
The game is being
played by two teams A and B consisting of 12 to 15 students. Randomly we set a
defense and attack team.
Inside the field we
draw 5 different circles and we set our five bases in an “M” shape.
We also set the
attack space were the contesters stand in line.
The game starts
when the first pitcher throws the ball and starts to walk toward the bases in
order. We have to set the defense area where the players are standing across it
ready to take the ball once it hits the ground.
We also set the
area of the catcher which is a player that has to take the ball in his possession
from his team mates in order to put it in a bucket before they manage to get
into their bases.
Then we have to set
the last base, 8 plate-cones. The offender has to pass it, pick up a cone plate
and lift it up in order to gain a point.
When the catcher
puts the ball in the bucket and the offensive team has a player standing
outside the bases then the team loses a player.
As soon as the
offensive team loses 3 players then the teams swap roles.
The game ends after
30 minutes pass or when one of the two teams scores 20 points
